Women Win launched its Young Leaders in Girls' Sport Workshop - Amsterdam, hosting eleven extraordinary young women leaders from Kenya, Zambia and India. The two-week programme, funded by DFID, included a deep dive into digital storytelling, an exploration of leadership and kicked-off the highly-anticipated, international mentorship project.
The young leaders, who represented WW partners Moving the Goalposts, Naz Foundation, NOWSPAR and Sadili Oval, brought their energy, curiosity, passion and commitment to the workshop at every turn point. Highlights included the opportunity to share their digital stories about the impact of sport in their lives at two separate but magical film screenings, hosted at Wieden + Kennedy and Nike Europe headquarters.
The young women also were matched with trail-blazing female leaders from around the world through our one-on-one mentorship programme. This one-year commitment culminates in a capstone project identified, designed and executed by each participant as a means of taking action in her community.
A big thank you to DFID, all the committed mentors and our friends at Nike and Wieden + Kennedy for crafting such special events. Keep up the great work, Vrushali, Pallavi, Amrita, Pooja, Doreen, Sabina, Lydia, Samantha, Mofu, Florence and Hazel!
