Kate is an associate at DLA Piper UK LLP specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration. She has a strong banking focus having advised banks and financial institutions in matters including derivative claims, professional negligence claims, IT related disputes, breach of contract, post completion warranty claims, enforcement of security and fraud. She is used to handling cross-border disputes with many of her cases having an international element. She is particularly interested in emerging markets having acted in a number of arbitrations arising from disputes in Sub-Saharan Africa where she has acted for multi-national companies and governments. It was her experience of working in Zambia and pro bono schemes in Tanzania, together with a life long passion for sports, that inspired Kate to get involved with Women Win.
