Martha Brady, M.S. is a Senior Associate at the Population Council, a world-class international, non-profit, non-governmental organization that develops innovative programs and conducts policy-relevant research to improve the health and well-being of women and girls throughout the world. Martha has more than twenty years of progressive and diverse experience as a program
leader, strategist, researcher, technical advisor, and evaluator of health, education, and development programs worldwide. She has led programs and teams in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and has extensive experience working throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Ms. Brady’s areas of technical expertise include sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDs, gender, programme design, monitoring, and evaluation. Currently, she directs a portfolio of research and program initiatives on girls’ and women’s protection strategies, including social, health, education, and economic asset-
building.

Martha serves on several interagency working groups, consortia, and coalitions. She is the author of peer-reviewed journal articles and lay publications and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. Martha has consulted for the Nike Foundation, the Female Health Company, Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Suisse, Women Win, and the Women’s Sports Foundation. She holds a master’s degree in public health and nutrition from Columbia University.

Martha has travelled, lived, and worked in over 25 countries, and currently makes her home in the US with her husband and 12 year old daughter.
